In 2010, two young(ish) and naïve photographers met at WPPI and decided to open a studio together.  What we quickly realized was that all the passion and photographic skill in the world wouldn’t be enough to make us a successful studio.

We were broke and living in the basement of our studio.

We did what broke photographers do: tried to learn everything ourselves.  Did things the hard way, and did things the wrong way.  Fell flat on our faces… multiple times.  With the last few dollars in our bank account, we took our first business class.  And then another.  And another. 

We learned numbers and stats and workflow and marketing, and we turned our business around.

Within a few years of our first business class, we were featured in Professional Photographer magazine for our successful business overhaul.  Just one year later, we purchased our very own home.  And our studio has grown every year since.

Our path to success was paved with the help of mentors, educators, and friends who all believe the same basic premise:
